  • Tint is designed to coat the outside of the hair follicle and fade off the hair over 2-3 weeks. It leaves some residual colour on the skin that generally lasts up to 5 days. Hybrid dye is designed to penetrate the hair follicle and stains the hair for up to 6-7 weeks. Hybrid dye also stains the skin for up to 14 days and has the ability to fill in sparse areas with colour. Both can be adjusted to be more natural or more dramatic.

  • This is very dependent on your hair growth cycle as well as personal preference. For slower growth we recommend 6-8 weeks between appointments. For strong growth we recommend 4 weeks. Your hair needs to be at least 3-5mm long for the wax to pick it up. Tint only and Dye only appointments can be done as often as every 2 weeks.

  • Brow Lamination can last anywhere from 6-10 weeks. This is entirely dependent on your hair structure, aftercare and lifestyle. Someone with more coarse, stubborn hair will find the lamination effect relaxs closer to the 6 week mark. We recommend you follow the aftercare instructions listed on your concultation form for the best results.

  • Cosmetic Tattoo can also be referred to as micropigmentation, Permanent Make-Up or Semi-Permanent Make-Up. Cosmetic Tattoo is a process of implanting small amounts of pigment into the skin usuing a small machine and needle or hand tool. The pigment remains in the skin indefinitely, however the colour may fade over time due to environmental factors, aging or how light the chosen pigment is. The design is created to enhance your facial features and mimic make-up.

GENERAL

  • Unfortunately, cosmetic tattooing is not suited to those prone to keloid scarring.
It is important to not be sunburnt for your procedure.
If you have a skin condition such as eczema, psoriasis, keratosis pilaris and/or dermatitis on your face, your skin will not hold the pigment very well due to the constant state of unrest and shedding.
This also applies to conditions like chronic acne and rosacea, which causes easy bleeding which pushes out the pigment.
Excessively oily skin is not suited to microblading as it can cause the tattooed hair strokes to blur and migrate together, and not last as long in the skin. Oily skin is much better suited to combination or ombre.
Deep wrinkles can make the overall look appear uneven. We do try our best to ensure this doesn’t happen however it is a risk.
Moles, bumps and any raised skin will not be able to retain the pigment.
You cannot have any skin treatments/facials done 4 weeks either side of your cosmetic tattoo treatment. Please avoid all types of exfoliation over the area for 4 weeks minimum after your appointment.

  • You just be 18 years of age or older to get a cosmetic tattoo.
You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you have haemophilia or a heart condition it is not recommended that you get any form of cosmetic tattooing as it puts you in a high-risk position.
If you have cancer or are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation or any other form of treatment, you will need to wait until your treatment is finished. It is recommended you wait at least 6-12months after finishing treatment and you will need a letter from your doctor confirming it is safe to have your cosmetic tattoo procedure.
If you are a diabetic, cosmetic tattoo is not recommended. This is due to pro-longed healing time.
If you have been taking acne medications such as accutane or roaccutane, it is recommended you wait at least a year after ceasing the medication to tattoo the skin. If you use retional or vitamin A, it is recommended to discontinue the use of these at least 3 weeks prior to your appointment.
If you use eyebrow growth serum, please discontinue use a month prior to your treatment. Growth serums bring extra circulation to the area to encourage growth, which can result in the skin being hypersenstive and more prone to bleeding.

  • If you are considering botox/anti-wrinkle, please do this at least 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after your cosmetic tattoo appointment. This is to allow time for your anti-wrinkle to settle in before your treatment, or for your cosmetic tattoo to heal before having another treamtent.
